The JAZZ PASSENGERS are a fantastical fusion of post-bop and musical comedy.  They first broke out on the New York City avant-garde scene with a hybrid of Charles Mingus-influenced original tunes complete with lyrics and/or entertaining stories. Early Jazz Passengers sets and recordings feature collaborations with Elvis Costello, Debbie Harry, and Mavis Staples.
